Fraction Flowers

It is believed that fractions crop up in everyday life, especially with shape! Keeping this in mind, a ‘Fraction Flower Activity’ was organized on10 January 2023 for classes III-V to develop understanding of the concept using play – way methodology. This beautiful activity asked students to get creative to make their own flower. Then colour in the petals two different colours

to make a fraction amount. These fractions were represented either by shading in a certain part of a shape or written as a fraction on the petal. The activity made math learning fun for the kids by enhancing their knowledge about the concept involved.
