Debate is an academic activity that gives students a creative room for expression. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled.

 

Jesus Mary Joseph School  conducted  a Virtual Debate Competition  on September 28,2021 for the students of Grades IX & X on the topic \'Is offline learning better than Online learning\'?

 

The budding young orators spoke both For   and Against the motion respectively.All the contestants put forth their arguments skilfully and convincingly.

 

This activity gave the students a platform to articulate their views. The enthusiastic participation proved that even young children have informed and independent opinions and don’t hesitate to express them.

It was delightful to see the students communicate their arguments very confidently.

Both the judges Ms.Shany Babu and Ms.Preethi Baiju  highly appreciated the efforts of the participants .

 

Winners of the competition are as follows :

 Best Speaker for the motion - Utkarsh (XA)

Best Speaker against the motion - Hiteshri (IXA) and Janaya (XA)

Best Group - Group No. 4( Ananya - (XA) & Yuvraj  (IXA).
