Pantomime Act

Pantomime Act

On 2 August 2022, students of class XI-C of Jesus Mary Joseph\'s school performed a peculiar act to exhibit the theme \"Incredible India\". Students used pantomime art form to portray a few of the most significant moments of Indian history. Participants painted their faces white, wore white gloves and black clothes to make the movements and postures visible properly. The act began with displaying the execution of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh and his mates. It was preceded by representing Mahatma Gandhi\'s iconic charkah and inspiring quote \"bura mat dekho, bura mat suno aur bura mat kaho\". Next, a few acts were showcased that are key to our Indian Armed Forces. Lastly, kids enacted the incident when Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam died; doing what he loved to do that was inspiring the young kids. The activity concluded with an acrobatic feat. It was a one of a kind experience for both the participants and the spectators. With this mime, students achieved their aim to give tribute to our freedom fighters, soldiers and all other kinds of patriots who selflessly give their all for our country, who believed and believe India first. All the present were left with a strong patriotic feeling and realised words are not enough to show gratitude for the sacrifices made by them.
