Slopes and tangents

 Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations or algorithms , it is about understanding and practicing. In order to enhance this skill, Maths club came up with an activity organised for class IX and X. The name of the activity is ‘Slopes and Tangents’.

The main objective of conducting this activity was to check the competency of our students and also build better understanding of the subject among themselves.

It commenced with the declaration of the rules for the activity.

The students were asked to carry an A3 sized sheet to school and given time to discuss and write the definition and applications of slopes and tangents.

The activity was conducted on 13 July 2023. Every student of class IX and X had participated for the same.

The students were divided into teams of 4 and captain of each team was responsible for sharing the information and the experience was shared.

All the students enthusiastically participated in the activity adding the element of excitement and upbeat the show.

It was altogether a fruitful event.
